This photo was taken in Kirstenbosch Gardens in March of this year. Cape Town is my place of belonging, and I feel most comfortable, relevant and peaceful when i'm there. I also love the feeling of quiet nature and silent beauty and I believe the gardens are the perfect way to spend a sombre , sleepy Saturday afternoon. This photo was taken by a friend and then tinted using Cross Process on an online photo editor app. The light that afternoon was magic and I think worked greatly in terms of colour quality and natural lighting. I find Cape Town a constant canvas and at 3-4 o'clock in the afternoon the lighting is quite romantic and beautiful.
