Traffic in the JHB CBD

You know what I can't stand? You've had a long day at work, in my case Tuesdays at uni where I start at 8 and end at 3. You que in the traffic, get comfortable, eat the rest of your lunch, choose your playlist, and then you see this. You are almost at the front of the line, just a few more to go now and a sneaky sly scofflaw  fakes a right into the turning lane then pushes his way into the row of exasperated automobilists. We all see this horror occurring and try desperately to cut them off "No!! I have been queuing for what seems like a lifetime and now you want to just high-tail it in front of me?"

I used to think it was just taxis and people claiming they were in greater need of getting home then you but now it seems to be business man in flashy houses-on-wheels? A man in a golden BMW convertible simply sliiiiiiding in as if it was his right. I am all for being able to afford nice cars (except if its teens getting Lambos for their sweet sixteen's and what not) but if you want to live up to all that those cars hold in associative meaning which is class, performance and power , surely a little integrity should factor in there somewhere? If you want people to regard you as people of such stature, don't go ruin it or as Americans would say "blow it up their ass" by being dishonourable and cutting the line. Traffic is a nuisance, its annoying, but unfortunately it is not altogether avoidable, unless you are a billionaire and can afford to go to the shops a l'air. WE ALL WANT TO GET HOME. Your life is not more significant than mine, or the lady with  5 screaming kids in the back or the grandpa on his way to buy some tickets to the weekly Lotto. Wait your turn and be someone we can smile at and say "nice car" not "you bleeping toad in your fancy car!"
